Ivoryton Playhouse
Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to the Ivoryton Playhouse.

Not only do they bring their creative energy and support to the theater, but they also provide an important link to communities throughout the Connecticut Shoreline area. Below is a sample of the rewarding opportunities available to our Volunteers.

Ushering:  Through our ushering program, individuals are offered the opportunity to see Ivoryton productions while being ambassadors for our theatre. Usher duties include welcoming patrons, taking tickets and handing out Playbills, taking audience members to their seats and working concessions.

Special Events:  Throughout each season the Playhouse hosts and participates in a series of special events. These events include opening night receptions, Subscriber gatherings, benefits and festivals. Volunteer activities include preparing and serving refreshments, greeting guests and much more. Individuals who enjoy working with the public are best suited for these positions. Events take place evenings and weekends.
