A summer internship at the Ivoryton Playhouse offers current undergraduate students and recent college graduates an exciting and intensive opportunity geared towards expanding and developing production skills, making professional contacts, and developing the insight and experience necessary to pursue a career in theatre.
Interns will work side by side with the staff in all areas of theatrical production. Depending on an intern’s experience and interest, there are opportunities to serve as a sound, wardrobe, electrics, scenic, or office intern.
Opportunities will include assisting with set construction, hang and focus, special effects, prop acquisition and construction, costume acquisition and fittings, wardrobe, production management, stage management, one-week changeovers, building maintenance, children’s theatre, and running shows.
Internships run from May to September. Applications must be postmarked by April 2, 2014.
