Our sincerest thanks to Outthink for producing video clips for our productions.
One of the greatest classics of American theater, South Pacific, is playing now at Ivoryton Playhouse. According to Director and Choreographer David Edwards, this production of the musical written by Rodgers and Hammerstein at the apex of their careers, delivers a great sense of immediacy and intimacy. Based on short stories from James A. Michener’s Pulitzer Prize winning book Tales of the South Pacific, the Pulitzer Prize winning musical is a deeply felt drama that portrays parallel love stories of Americans stationed in the Pacific during World War II. Don’t miss David Pittsinger, revising his Kennedy Center as role Emile de Becque, his wife, the internationally acclaimed soprano Patricia Schuman, playing Bloody Mary, and the other talented members of the cast bring to life such favorites as “One Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Ha’i,” and “Younger Than Springtime.”
